Chulu East Peak is one of the most climbed peaks in the Annapurna area of Nepal. Located in the Chulu massif alongside Chulu West and Chulu Far East, this summit rises at a height of 6,584 meters (21,601 feet). Chulu East Peak is a moderately challenging peak to climb in terms of technical difficulties, though it does require some climbing skill and mental endurance.Including the time spent traveling to and from Kathmandu, the average Chulu East Peak climbing expedition lasts roughly 18–20 days.

There are amazing views of the Annapurna range and other Himalayan peaks along the route to Chulu East Peak, which can be reached by a steady rise through picturesque valleys and traditional Nepalese villages. To reach the peak, climbers must traverse snow and ice, walk along ridges, and make use of fixed ropes and other technical equipment.

You require climbing permission from the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and a climbing guide in order to summit Chulu East Peak. It is also recommended that climbers have prior climbing experience and have received training in the use of technical equipment.

Upon your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), a representative from Moon Himalaya Adventure will welcome you and assist in the transfer to hotel. In the evening you will have dinner with our guide where you will introduced to each other and talk about the trip.

On the second day after having breakfast our guide will brief you about the Chulu East peak climbing and the gear you need. If you forgot or don't have the appropriate gear you can buy or rent the items required. If you want then you can visit the world heritage sites (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath) but you have to pay entry fees on your own.

The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar and continues till we reach Dharapani.

The first day of the trek begins from Dharapani with an average walk of 5 to 6 hrs. On the way you'll see plenty of pine and fir trees, a number of monasteries, and several authentic Tibetan settlements. Views of Annapurna II, Manaslu, and other mountains can also be seen on our way to Chame. Chame is the headquarter of Manang district.

Today we'll continue on to Pisang through Bratang (2850m) and Dhiku Pokhari (3240m). We'll be making our way down a narrow and steep slope before dropping down to the quaint village of Pisang for the night.

In the morning, get up early to catch the sun rising over Annapurna II. Then after breakfast, we will resume our journey to Ngawal. After reaching Humde (3300m) we will gradually climb for about 40 minutes. The path to Ngawal offers spectacular views of Annapurna II and III, as well as Pisang Peak. We'll stay at Ngawal for the night.

Our plan entails heading in a northern direction towards Yak Kharka. We will be treated to awe-inspiring sights of Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak on our way to Yak Kharka.

Today we will ascend towards Chulu East base camp. The journey promises to be captivating, offering splendid vistas of the nearby mountains. We will hike for approximately five hours until we reach the Chulu East Peak base camp, situated at an altitude of 5,140m. Upon arrival, we will take a well-deserved break.

It is very important to spend one more day at base camp. Our climbing guide will train you to use the climbing gear and equipment such as harness, climbing helmet, carabiners, ascender, descender etc. Taking proper rest will be beneficial for next day as you will be making to the summit.

The most awaiting day of the trip will be today as we will make our way to the summit of Chulu East Peak. We will start early so it is very important to carry headlight. Once we reach the summit of Chulu East peak (6584m) we will realize that it was worth our hard climb. The amazing vistas of surrounding mountains is worth the climb. We will descend our way back to base camp.

Today we will descend to Ngawal. We will be back to the human settlements and spend night on lodge after spending three nights in a tent. You can interact with the locals to learn about their culture, tradition and lifestyle.

Following the banks of the Marsyangdi River, we will make our way to Manang. Ahead, you'll see the Tilicho Peak and Annapurna ranges while passing through forests and villages like Braga and Paugh. Upon arriving in Mungli, we will once again be following the regular Annapurna hiking routes. We continue our hike till we reach Manang, our final destination for the day.

We will stay at Manang to take rest as we have one higher pass to cross. We'll spend the day exploring Manang. We'll start the day with a hike up to Gangapurna Lake/Ice Lake. We can enjoy the breathtaking views of Annapurna III, Tilicho, Pisang, and Chulu Peaks. Visiting the nearby Manang village is yet another choice.

We will continue our trek to Leder after an acclimatization day in Manang. The trail goes through Yak Kharka (4050m). Along the way, we'll see grasslands and juniper trees. We'll be going through the quaint village of Gunsan on our way farther into the mountains, where locals live in homes with flat mud roofs. We will also see yak pastures and horse pastures on our way to Leder.

After breakfast, we will head to Thorong High Camp via Thorong Phedi (4600m). The trail to Thorong Phedi gradually ascends through yak pastures. Some areas require extra caution due to the possibility of rock fall. You can reach Throng High Camp by hiking up an extremely steep and moraine-filled trail.

It is today that we will climb over Thorong La Pass. The scenery from the Thorong La Pass is well worth the cold, the long climb, and the high altitude that we experience. Many of the Annapurna Mountain ranges are seen in the background. Afterwards, we'll make our way down to Muktinath. It will take about three to four hours to reach Muktinath. Muktinath is religiously significant for both Hindu and Buddhist. We can go for a walk around the area, which is home to a Vishnu temple and a monastery.

The stunning Kali Gandaki Gorge lies below us as we make our way through the barren landscape. First, we make our way to the village of Ekle Bhatti, and then to the villages of Jharkot and Khingar, where we will visit several stunning monasteries. On our way to Jomsom, we'll pass through Kagbeni and along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. Throughout the hike, we will be treated to a breathtaking panorama of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri.

We will take an early morning flight to Pokhara after having breakfast. Our flight will pass through two of the world's tallest mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Upon arriving at Pokhara we will be transferred to the hotel nearby lakeside. We take our time walking near Fewa Lake, Nepal's second-largest lake, taking in the scenery of Machhapuchhare in the distance. Evening walk nearby the lakeside in one of the famous activities in Pokhara. We can also boat in Fewa Lake.

We will leave Pokhara in a private vehicle after taking breakfast. It will take around 7 hours to reach Kathmandu.
