Our group had a great trek with Lauchman to EBC.

Lachhuman was so fantastic on our trek to EBC! He made sure my family and others on our trip felt safe. I would recommend Lachhuman and his company to anyone hoping to do some trekking in Nepal!

For me, the Everest Base camp trek had been a bucket list adventure in the works for quite some time. Originally planned for 2020, but sidetracked by an annoying Covid bug, a group of us with a common professional background were finally able to come together in the spring of 2023 and experience the trip of a lifetime.

Our lead guide Lachhuman and his team immediately instilled confidence and demonstrated the expertise early on to put all of us at ease that “we can do this.” Throughout the trek he was heard to say, “we will help get you to your goal of Base Camp and will also get you home safely.” He was true to word!

For those considering an adventure in Nepal, Lachhuman and his team will ensure that you have amazing experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.

I can't possibly capture in words how life changing this adventure was. In April of 2023, I had the opportunity to join a group of 14 other thrill seekers on the experience of a life time to climb to Mount Everest Base Camp. Although I have been active my entire life, a climb of this magnitude was definitely a challenge. As filled with angst as I was, after meeting our head guide, Lachhuman Tamang, I felt an immediate wave of confidence. Lachhuman carries himself in a laid back manner, while inspiring you to become your best self. Every morning and every night, he would make sure to check in with every climber to ensure we were well fed, well rested, and well informed of what to expect next.
During the last days of the journey, there was a day that I was struggling, and without saying a word Lachhuman knew that I needed some assistance. He immediately took my day pack, got me hydrated, and had me eating an energy bar. Never once was I concerned for my safety, I knew I was in good hands and within 30 minutes, I was perfectly fine.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the journey, was listening to one of our climbers Joanne and Lachhuman's conversation along the journey. Joanne has a great thirst for knowledge of the local culture and was filled with questions. Lachhuman's depth of knowledge, and love of his country is stuff you could never learn in a book.
If you have any desire to challenge yourself, and have considered climbing to Mount Everest Base Camp, please do it, and please entrust your adventure and safety to head guide Lachhuman of Moon Himalaya Adventure. I can honestly say that I went to Everest with a tour group and guides, but returned home with a new group of friends and greater appreciation for the beauty of Nepal.

At the very last minute I chose to join 14 coworkers on an experience that they had been planing over the previous few years. I jumped in with only 42 days to prepare. Not that I am recommending this but if you are in reasonably good shape, it's not beyond possible. After having a day or two to acclimate In Kathmandu we were introduced to the head guide, and co-owner (Lachhuman Tamang) of Moon Himalaya and a couple members of his team. This gave us an opportunity to ask any last-minute questions about required gear or about the itinerary. This brought me some comfort as I was quite nervous. From the first day of the trek through to the last day, I found the team of Moon Himalaya very accommodating. Most mornings would start with conversations asked by the trekking guides as to “How well did you sleep?” “Were you warm enough?” “Would you prefer tea or coffee?”. And if someone did have a circumstance the guides would go out of their way to rectify it and make sure you were as comfortable as possible. As we continued on through our 18-day adventure, we got to know the personalities of our guides and porters along the way. They were always willing to share information about the villages we passed through, local schools as well as many of the cultural beliefs. The trek to Everest Base Camp became so much more than just a physical challenge to successfully complete. I walked away with a much better appreciation for Nepal and the people that live there. Since returning from Nepal I've spoken to others that have also completed the trek to Everest Base Camp. We all seem to have had drastically different experiences. I believe a big part of why my experience was so successful and enjoyable was because of the Moon Himalaya team. Leadership, care of trekkers and safety were paramount, and it showed daily. I look forward to having another adventure with Moon Himalaya in a few years …. maybe the Pikey Peaks Trek. Thanks Moon Himalaya for a great experience. : )

The agency was top notch, the manager picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the airport. The flight is fantastic. Each person has a porthole and a hostess comes to explain to us the mountains that we see until the explore of Everest.
