Heading out for a trek is frequently connected to youth and energy. But it's a myth that has to be changed—that becoming older might stop one from having these kinds of experiences. Age is just a number, after all, and that shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing great outdoor adventures and taking in the mesmerizing beauty of nature. Age shouldn't be a barrier to starting an adventure journey; rather, the journey will result in a more fulfilling life.
Mr. Serge Mazet, who is 77 years old, proved that age is just a number by completing a 16-day trek and crossing through high passes at an altitude of 5000 m. Along with him were the other four members of his group: Mrs. Nicole Guillaume (72 years old), Mr. Herve Poinas (58 years old), Mrs. Marie-Noelle Dancede (56 years old), and Mr. Patrick Vidal (62 years old). The group was led by Mr. Lachhuman Tamang, managing director of Moon Himalaya Adventure. The 16-day adventure began with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani. And, the trek started from Dharapani to Koto, Meta, Naar Phu Valley, Manang, Tilicho Lake, Thorong La Pass, Muktinath, Jomsom, and finally, a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara.
Crossing through the high passes, Kang La Pass, which is situated at an altitude of 5320 m, and Thorang La Pass, situated at an altitude of 5416 m, was the most notable ascent of the trek. The group had a rest day at Manang for acclimatization. The trek gave an opportunity to explore remote monasteries and traditional villages that few tourists have ever had the opportunity to visit.
Moon Himalaya Adventure is very glad to organize this great trek for this amazing group of people. This trek has encouraged individuals of all ages to come out of their comfort zones and experience outdoor activities. It has been proven that the most memorable events in life are not limited to a certain age group.
